How We Work

THE ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE OF ARBORICULTURE AUSTRALIA

Arb Aus™ is made up of our Board of Directors and our Internal Committees. Our organisation is committee-led, with projects and major decisions being driven by our Internal Committees and our Board being responsible for governance.

Our Board of Directors and Internal Committees are supported by our Member Advisory Committee and this forms the Arb Aus Executive Committee. Together with our great staff, we are your Arb Aus team.

All our events and achievements begin as projects. The Internal Committees develop and deliver projects that meet their specific responsibilties and fulfil our Arb Aus mission:

to improve our industry and promote the value of trees.

To develop a project a committee will first develop a plan by discussing the idea and gathering information such as costs, risks, obstacles and opportunities. Committees are encouraged to collaborate on projects and our partners and networks also offer invaluable support through this process. Many projects can be run by a committee without approval or input from our BoD. For other projects with a point of difference, such as specific resource requirements or a project with a unique, incomparable concept, approval from the BoD must be sought (see Figure 1 below).
