Following the success of Australian arborists at the International Tree Climbing Championships (ITCC) 2019 in Knoxville, USA earlier this year, preparations are now underway for the 2020 Australian Tree Climbing Championships on the Gold Coast scheduled to start 14th May 2020. The ATCC is the pinnacle tree climbing event on the Australian calendar and Arboriculture Australia Ltd is proud to host the event as part of its national conference. |

- Thursday 14th May 2020
Day 1 Gear Check and Judges briefing
- Friday 15th May 2020
Day 2 Preliminary Events to be held at a designated area at Cascade Gardens, Gold Coast, Queensland
- Saturday 16th May 2020
Day 3 Masters Events to be held in a designated area at Cascade Gardens Cascade Gardens, Gold Coast, Queensland
- Sunday 17th May 2020
Day 4 - 6pm Welcome Reception and Australia Tree Climbing Championships Awards (ATCC 2020) presentation
The competition is open to men and women to compete in an ISA format climbing competition. The Arboriculture Australia Practicing Arborist Committee (PAC) and technical team has inspected the trees at Cascade Gardens which is the venue for ATCC 2020. With such a high calibre of Australian climbers expected to participate, next year’s ATCC promises to be a cracker as we aim to significantly raise the standard. The winners of the Australian Tree Climbing Championship will participate in the International Tree Climbing Championships
